First off, this is no gimmick cigar. Made in Honduras, it features an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 binder and Nicaraguan filler – quite a blend.
This is a medium to full bodied cigar. Cold draw gives some light pepper and spice notes. Once lit, the first few puffs offers white pepper spicyness, which soon gives way to full flavours of old leather, sweet (almost fruity) wood, creamy coffee and dark chocolate. Hearty tobacco through-out. The draw was excellant. Smooth, with enough flavour to keep it interesting without being overpowering.
One thing I noticed about this cigar was the consistancy of flavour and burn. Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar. Best smoked on a full stomach, I would recommend a spicy American whiskey, such as Buffalo Trace, as a great accompaniment.
