The Glenlivet 12 year old – one of the most approachable, friendly and obliging single malt whiskies you are likely to find. A highly regarded scotch from the region of Speyside, loved for its pleasant fruity and vanilla character and, indeed, is one of the best-selling single malt scotches world-wide. The 12 year old expression offers comforting flavours of fruits, vanilla and cream. 
This whisky is an excellent starting point for those beginning their whisky journey, but it has plenty to delight the more experienced whisky drinker as well.
This is a straight-forward, well-structured whisky, with clean, clear flavours enticing the nose and rewarding the palate. Rich vanilla on the nose and sweet fruits – pear and pineapple. With a small drop of water, honey, beeswax, floral, flowering meadows.
Thick, mouth-coating vanilla cream arrives on the palate, followed by honey, which gives way to summer fruits – citrus, pear, some apple too. Fruit flavours fade to caramel toffee, almonds and hazelnuts. Water brings out a little oak on the palate.
You might call this an ‘any time of day’ whisky, such is its gentle, satisfying character. Works wonders as a light aperitif. The Glenlivet 12 year old is a sweet-tempered pleasure for the novice and the connoisseur alike.

Nose: Vanilla, pear, pineapple, floral.
Palate: Bold ripe fruit, cream, vanilla, honey.
Finish: Medium – short length, fruit, nuts, toffee.
