The Gentleman behind Gentleman’s Cabinet

It may surprise you to learn that the very first time I tried whisky,
I hated it.
In fact, I swore I’d never try whisky again.

Fast forward 9 years later and I’ve experienced and enjoyed hundreds of whiskys and even forged a career representing and promoting over 70 premium whisky brands.
So what changed me?

It was a Macallan 18, the year was 2005, and with the first taste a fire was lit that has continued to be fueled by every whisky swallowed since. The experience educated me that there was a whisky for everyone, and sparked a desire within me to help others to discover this truth.

When I celebrated my first promotion within the premium beverage industry, I decided to savour the moment by pairing my Glenfiddich 18 with a Partagas series D no4. I instantly realized that cigars brought the character and the sweetness out in the whisky. From that moment on, pairing whisky and cigars, making them accessible to the every man, became my new purpose.

For me whisky is more than a beverage, and a cigar more than a smoke. They are the initiator of genuine interaction and an excuse to slow life down and savor the moment in our fast-paced, technologically addicted world.
